Coupon Affiliates

The Coupon Affiliates integration does two things. It tracks new affiliate signups as conversions, and it adds the referring affiliate to WooCommerce purchases. That way your analytics shows which affiliate sent each sale.

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Enable the Integration

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Settings → Conversion Bridge → Integrations
  2. Find Coupon Affiliates in the list of integrations
  3. Check the box to enable it

Step 2: Choose What to Track

  • Track registrations: fires when someone signs up as an affiliate. Default label: "Affiliate Registration"

You can set a custom label for this event. For more on labels and values, see What are the Conversion Label and Conversion Value fields?

Affiliate details on purchases don't need a setting. They are added whenever this integration and the WooCommerce integration are both turned on.

Step 3: Save Settings

Click Save Changes to start tracking your conversions.

How It Works

Affiliate Registrations

  • When someone signs up through the Coupon Affiliates registration form, Conversion Bridge marks the signup for tracking.
  • The registration event fires on the new affiliate's next page load. This makes sure it gets tracked on a normal page where your analytics platforms can see it.
  • Each registration is tracked only once.
  • Affiliates you add yourself in the WordPress admin are not tracked. Only people who sign up on their own count.

Referred Purchases

When a WooCommerce order was referred by an affiliate, Conversion Bridge adds that affiliate's coupon code to the purchase event. This works whether the customer used the affiliate's coupon or came in through the affiliate's referral link without using a coupon.

Coupons that aren't linked to an affiliate are ignored, so a normal store coupon is never counted as a referral.

Tracked Data

Every event includes a conversion label and conversion value. See What are the Conversion Label and Conversion Value fields? for details.

Registration Event

Enhanced conversion data (sent when available):

  • email: the affiliate's email address
  • first_name: the affiliate's first name
  • last_name: the affiliate's last name

WooCommerce Purchase Event

On top of the normal WooCommerce purchase data, referred orders also include:

  • affiliate: the referring affiliate's coupon code

Enhanced Conversions

When enhanced conversions is turned on, Conversion Bridge includes the new affiliate's email and name with the registration event. This personal data is hashed and sent to platforms that support it, such as Google Ads and Meta Ads, so they can match the signup to a real person who saw or clicked your ad.

Conversion Journeys

Every registration is linked to the visitor's conversion journey, the page-by-page path they took before signing up. This shows you which pages and campaigns bring in the most new affiliates.
