Server-Side Tracking
Server-side conversion tracking for WordPress
Send conversions straight from your server to your ad platforms, so they still arrive when ad-blockers, iOS, or cookie limits stop the browser pixel. More complete data means less wasted ad spend.
The Basics
What is server-side tracking?
When someone buys or signs up on your site, your ad platforms need to hear about it to know their ads are working. Normally that job falls to a pixel: a bit of code that runs in your visitor's browser and pings the platform. It works, until the browser gets in the way. Ad-blockers, private browsing, and Apple's privacy features all stop a share of those pings from ever arriving.
Server-side tracking sends the conversion a second way, straight from your website's server, where the browser can't block it. The conversions your pixel loses still get counted.
Runs in the visitor's browser
A snippet of code fires when someone converts and reports it to the ad platform. Quick to set up, but ad-blockers, iOS, and cleared cookies quietly drop a share of these before they land.
Sent from your server
Conversion Bridge sends the same conversion from your site's server through the platform's own API. Nothing in the browser can stop it, so the conversions the pixel misses still get through.
For the technically curious: each platform calls this its Conversions API (Meta, Reddit, Pinterest) or Measurement Protocol (Google Analytics). Conversion Bridge builds the event, sends it server-to-server, and tags it with a shared event ID so the platform recognizes the server event and the browser pixel as the same conversion and counts it once.
Why It Matters
Why server-side tracking?
Beats ad-blockers and iOS
Browser pixels get blocked by ad-blockers, private modes, and Apple's tracking limits. Server-side events leave from your site directly, so the conversion still reaches the platform.
No double-counting
Each server event carries the same ID as the browser pixel, so the platform matches the two and counts the conversion once. You recover the missing data without inflating your numbers.
Less wasted ad spend
The more conversions your ad platforms actually receive, the better they optimize. Complete data means they stop paying for clicks that never buy. One smarter campaign can earn back the cost.
How It Works
Three steps, no code
A conversion happens on your site
Someone completes a purchase, submits a form, or signs up. Conversion Bridge already tracks these from the plugins you use, so there's nothing new to add and no code to write.
Your server sends it, not the browser
Instead of relying only on the browser pixel, Conversion Bridge sends the same conversion from your server straight to each ad platform's Conversions API. It leaves from your site, so ad-blockers and browser limits never get a chance to stop it.
Counted once, credited to the right ad
The server event carries the same ID as the pixel, so the platform matches the two and counts the conversion a single time. It gets credited to the ad that earned it, even when the pixel was blocked and never fired.
For the technically curious: this is event-level deduplication. Both the pixel and the server send an event_id; when the platform sees two events with the same id, it keeps one. That's how you recover the conversions a blocked pixel would have lost without inflating your reported numbers.
Why It's Worth It
Pixel tracking vs. server-side
Blocked before it fires
Ad-blockers, private browsing, and Apple's tracking prevention stop the pixel from ever sending. The conversion happened, but the platform never hears about it.
Under-reported results
Missing conversions make your campaigns look worse than they are. You second-guess ads that are actually working and cut the wrong ones.
Weaker optimization
With partial data, the platform's algorithm learns from an incomplete picture. It spends more of your budget finding the buyers it can already see.
Delivered from your server
The event leaves your site directly through the platform's Conversions API, so ad-blockers and browser limits never get in the way.
The full picture, counted once
Recovered conversions are matched to the pixel by event ID, so your reporting is complete and nothing is double-counted.
Sharper, cheaper optimization
Complete conversion data lets the algorithm find more real buyers and stop paying for clicks that never convert. One smarter campaign can earn back the cost.

Absolutely. Conversion tracking is not just for ad campaigns — it is how you figure out what is actually working in your business. Without it, you are guessing which pages, emails, blog posts, and organic traffic sources are driving signups and sales.
