Mailchimp for WordPress (MC4WP) Integration
Conversion Bridge tracks newsletter subscriptions from the MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress plugin as conversions. When a visitor subscribes through any of your MC4WP forms, a conversion event is sent to all your connected analytics and ad platforms.
Conversion tracking is configured on a per-form basis, so you have full control over which forms track conversions and how they're labeled.
Setting Up Conversion Tracking
- In your WordPress admin, go to Settings > Conversion Bridge > Integrations and make sure the Mailchimp for WordPress integration is enabled.
- Go to Mailchimp for WP > Forms and click on the form you want to track.
- Click the Conversion Tracking tab in the form editor.
- Check the box next to Enable conversion tracking for this form.
- Optionally set a Custom Label to change how this form's conversions appear in your analytics. The default label is "Subscribe". See custom event labels for details.
- If you're using ad platforms that require conversion labels or IDs, fill in the platform-specific fields that appear below. Learn more about conversion labels and values.
- Click Save Changes to start tracking your conversions.
Repeat these steps for each MC4WP form you want to track.
How It Works
- When a visitor submits an MC4WP form and successfully subscribes, Conversion Bridge fires a subscribe conversion event.
- Tracking is configured per form. Only forms where you've enabled conversion tracking in the Conversion Tracking tab will fire events.
- The conversion event fires on the page after the subscription completes, so your analytics and ad platforms receive the conversion in real time without a page reload.
Tracked Data
Every event includes a conversion label and conversion value.
Subscribe events include:
id-- The form IDtitle-- The form name
Enhanced conversion data
Conversion Bridge automatically captures the subscriber's email address from the form and includes it as enhanced conversion data. No additional setup is needed.
_email-- The subscriber's email address
Custom Event Labels
You can customize the conversion label for each form to better identify events in your analytics platforms. The default label is "Subscribe".
Two placeholders are available for dynamic labels:
%id%-- Replaced with the form ID%title%-- Replaced with the form name
For example, a custom label of Subscribe: %title% would produce "Subscribe: Newsletter Signup" for a form with that name.
