I recently had the chance to sit down with Remkus de Vries on the WithinWP podcast, and wow—what a great conversation. We dug into everything from my early days as a developer back in 2005 all the way through to what I’m doing today with plugins like Sunshine Photo Cart and Conversion Bridge.
It was a lot of fun reflecting on how far the WordPress ecosystem has come, and how my own development process has changed along the way. From building client sites in raw HTML to creating full-featured products that simplify complex tasks for agencies and developers, it’s been a long and interesting road.
We talked a lot about Conversion Bridge—why I built it, what problems it solves, and how it helps developers and agencies skip the pain of setting up analytics and conversion tracking. I also shared some thoughts on defining conversions, making data more actionable, and why simplifying this stuff actually helps your clients succeed.
There’s also some good discussion about tools I love, working with the Block Editor, and how I still enjoy the simplicity of a custom-built theme or even a good ol’ static site from time to time.
If you’re into WordPress development—or just curious about how plugins like mine come to life—I think you’ll enjoy this one.
